Heating costs calculator
Enter your SCOP, the electricity used and the electricity price. We will show how much electricity and money you would save with a new SCOP.

Results are indicative and are not a heating design. Consult an installer before replacing radiators or changing your heating system.
How we calculate
The heat your home needs does not change, only how much electricity the heat pump uses to produce it. Heat = electricity used × current SCOP. New electricity = the same heat ÷ new SCOP. The difference multiplied by the electricity price is the annual saving.
FAQ
What is SCOP?
Seasonal COP: how much heat the heat pump produces from one kWh of electricity over the whole heating season. You can find it in the heat pump monitoring, or calculate it: heat produced ÷ electricity used.
Where do I get the new SCOP?
Use the heating curve calculator: it shows how SCOP would change after replacing radiators or choosing underfloor heating.
