Heating curve calculator

Already have a heat pump with a tuned heating curve? Find out what it would look like after changing radiators and how much your COP would improve.

How it works

Your heating curve, tuned over a year, tells which flow temperature is needed at each outdoor temperature. So we can assume that at every point your existing radiators deliver exactly the heat your home needs. We calculate which lower flow temperature a new radiator would need to deliver the same heat. That gives a new curve and, from it, the COP change.

FAQ

Where do I find the curve points?

In the heat pump settings (heating curve) or in its controller. Most heat pumps use 2 points: the lowest and highest outdoor temperature with the matching flow temperatures. If your curve has more points, you can add them on the chart.

Do I need to know my COP?

No. If you do not, we use an indicative model. If you enter your heat pump’s COP, the result is more accurate.
